Job Overview

Singer Industrial is currently seeking a dedicated Service Technician to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols as outlined in our safety manual and procedures.
  • Document all service and repair activities accurately.
  • Utilize all relevant documents and procedures effectively.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and compressed air systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mobile and industrial fluid power equipment.
  • Service hydraulic components including pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders.
  • Refurbish and replace components to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Participate in training programs for product knowledge and personal development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Be available for overtime, travel, and on-call shifts as required.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in hydraulic plumbing and mechanical fabrication.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, and similar equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills for record-keeping.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly; full range of motion in arms and legs; frequent bending and squatting.
