Responsibilities
  • Facilitate daily activities, including wake-up, supervision, and assistance with meal service, laundry, and other tasks.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor client behavior and intervene as needed, based on individual treatment plans and program schedules.
  • Document observations and milieu interventions in client records, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Coordinate treatment milieu with other counseling staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure transportation safety by conducting vehicle inspections and following safety protocols.
  • Supervise clients with self-administration of medication, following training and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular house checks to maintain physical safety and security of the facility.
  • Search and secure client valuables, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Assist with client intakes and welcome, providing a warm and supportive environment.
  • Facilitate client discharges, ensuring a smooth transition to the next stage of their treatment.
  • May provide one-to-one supervision for clients at risk, as directed by supervisor or designee.
  • Understand and follow emergency procedures, responding promptly and effectively in crisis situations.
  • In the absence of a chef, prepare and cook meals, portion servings, clean dishes, and kitchen area, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct UA drug screen collection and follow appropriate protocols, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Requirements
  • California Driver's license with insurable DMV driving record.
  • Two (2) years of sobriety, if recovering.
  • Registered or certified as an alcohol drug counselor/technician.
  • Experience working in detox/residential treatment settings.
  • Experience working in the field of addiction.
  • Knowledge of EHR preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to be thorough and accurate.
  • Able to work both individually and part of a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently and creatively.
