Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:
    • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for members and guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
    • Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting callers with a variety of questions and concerns.
    • Check members in, tour, and sign up new members, logging amenities and communicating updates and events to members and guests.
    • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues and providing solutions.
    • Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point-to-sale system, ensuring accurate transactions and excellent customer service.
    • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address, and billing or payment questions.
  • Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Take pride in maintaining a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for members and guests.
    • Regularly clean and maintain the facility, including mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
    • Regularly clean and maintain all exercise equipment and tanning beds, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for members.
    • Regularly clean and maintain restrooms and wet areas, stocking supplies as needed.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent on satisfactory outcome.
    • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding member expectations.
    • Prior customer service experience preferred, with a strong track record of providing excellent service and resolving issues.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
    • Punctuality and reliability are essential, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
    • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-mandated timeframes, with the ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Physical Demands and Requirements:
    • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, with frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and making repetitive hand motions.
    • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderate weight (up to 50lbs), with the ability to maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
    • Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during shifts, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to see in normal visual range with or without correction, with the ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
