Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about client care and excels in building meaningful relationships. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide wound and skin care.
  • Manage medication and maintain accurate documentation, including communication with pharmacists.
  • Supervise the activities of Direct Care Staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Administer tube feeding as required.
  • Deliver nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), assessments, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Facilitate transportation and attend all appointments, ensuring direct communication with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
  • Document care provided to clients accurately and neatly.
  • Engage in physical activities that may involve lifting, walking, balancing, and handling materials.
  • Complete necessary forms, reports, logs, and records to document actions taken.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures to maintain operational standards.
  • Safeguard the organization’s reputation by ensuring confidentiality of patient and company information.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions as required by the facility.
  • Complete annual continuing education or in-service training to retain certification.
  • Uphold professional standards and comply with hospital policies and procedures, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations while maintaining licensure.
  • Contribute to the organization’s reputation by accepting new challenges and exploring ways to add value to job responsibilities.
  • Deliver the highest quality of care and services to clients in alignment with DBHDD and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Georgia LPN/RN license.
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing practices.
  • Exhibit a friendly and professional bedside manner.
  • Maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Demonstrate effective multi-tasking abilities.
  • Possess strong oral, written, and reading communication skills.
  • Understand the legal implications associated with patient care.
  • (Preferred) Minimum of six months of experience in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital, or long-term care settings, with a commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in the best interest of residents, remain calm in challenging situations, and communicate effectively.
