Algo Capital Group is a prominent proprietary trading firm seeking a proficient Systems Engineer to enhance our Front-Office production support team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimizing and managing our trading infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include the installation and oversight of production trading applications at both desktop and server levels, alongside providing essential support for our trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Development, Trading, and Infrastructure teams to improve the trading system, diagnose issues, and refine configurations.
- Implement automation for routine tasks to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual interventions.
- Gain expertise in both proprietary and third-party software applications that are vital to our trading operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a solid technical foundation.
- Proficient in Linux environments (RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.), skilled in automation tools, and comfortable with command line operations.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, and familiarity with database structures and various scripting techniques.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and concepts.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance protocols.
- A collaborative team player capable of fostering strong relationships across diverse teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Capacity to make informed decisions in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to be on-call and available outside of standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
