The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in operating angiographic equipment for diagnostic procedures. As a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work on basic and intermediate interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Competently operate angiographic equipment for diagnostic procedures, including biopsy, para/thoracentesis, abscess drainages, peripheral vascular stenting, catheter placement, thrombolytic therapy, and embolization.
- Act as a scrub assistant on basic interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
- Monitor patients and alert staff of life-threatening changes in patient status.
- Apply defibrillator and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
- Aid with emergency procedures, responding quickly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in operating angiographic equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
