Visiting Professor of History

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our faculty as a visiting professor of history. The successful candidate will have expertise in Latino/a/x/e history, Chicano history, or borderlands history and will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in these areas, as well as developing an undergraduate course in their area of specialty.
Responsibilities:
- Teach introductory courses in Latino History, Chicano history, and American history
- Develop an undergraduate course in the candidate's area of specialty
- Contribute to the department's teaching and research mission
Requirements:
- PhD in hand at time of hire
- Demonstrated cultural competencies, including teaching, service, and research in diverse learning communities

Applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a syllabus for a course they have already taught, and three letters of recommendation. The deadline for applications is October 14, 2024.
