Lead Veterinarian

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinarian to join our team at Best Friend Veterinary & Pet Lodge. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our hospital and ensuring the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.

• Oversee the daily clinical operations of the hospital, including patient care, staff management, and quality control.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Collaborate with the hospital manager to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the veterinary team, including mentoring and coaching to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
• Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attending continuing education meetings and staying current with industry developments.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Georgia.
• 3+ years of leadership/management experience, preferably in a veterinary hospital setting.
• 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with a strong background in clinical practice.
• Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
• Ability to lead the team through a variety of cases and situations.
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
• Compassionate team player who can uphold the highest standard of medicine and veterinary ethics.
