About the Position

VieMed Healthcare Staffing, in partnership with LocumJobsOnline, is seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency medicine setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments and treatments as directed by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and Emergency Medicine Department Chief.
  • Rapidly evaluate routine, urgent, and critical medical issues, leveraging specialized Emergency Medicine training to effectively manage a wide array of conditions.
  • Administer intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications, as well as conduct anoscopy, arthrocentesis, and other procedures as needed.
  • Manage burns, take cultures, perform ear irrigation, and remove ingrown toenails, among other responsibilities.
  • Interpret initial radiographs, manage envenomations and exposure to hazardous materials, and provide nebulizer treatments.
  • Collect and document medical and social history data, conduct general physical examinations, and record findings.
  • Determine medical qualifications for various purposes based on examination findings and generate accurate medical records.
Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident of the US.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license in one of the 50 states in the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Hold a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree with training in Emergency Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
  • Maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Effective communication in English with patients, other Health Care Providers, and MTF employees.
