Pharmacist - Ukiah Valley

As a Retail Pharmacist at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients served by our community pharmacies. Your expertise will be essential in compounding, preparing, mixing, manufacturing, and dispensing medicines and preparations. You will work closely with medical staff, hospital staff, patients, and the community to provide medication information and ensure the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and/or supervise the preparation and dispensing of medication orders/prescriptions.
- Order and maintain medication supplies.
- Interpret and transcribe prescriptions and obtain immediate clarification when necessary.
- Supervise support staff in the transcription and preparation of prescription medications.
- Assist in training by reviewing work and answering questions.
- Monitor and review patients' drug regimens/profile for possible drug interactions, incompatibilities, allergies, etc.
- Contact the prescriber as necessary to clarify/rectify identified problems.
- Maintain knowledge of over-the-counter products and provide appropriate consultation to patients.
- Maintain records required to meet third-party payers, laws, and regulations.
- Assist with quality assurance monitoring, data collection, and continual accreditation preparedness.
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy.
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
