Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a per diem Registered Nurse for the PACU at our Rye, New York site. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process and established standards and practices. The nurse will assist physicians and other team members in coordinating patient care and function as a resource for support staff (LPNs and Medical Assistants).

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Office Visits: Assess and monitor changes in the physical and psycho/social needs of patients, educate and counsel patients and/or caregivers, prepare patients for and assist in complex procedures and treatments, and administer and document all medications, including IV therapy, accurately.
  • Charting: Enter patient charting into the EMR accurately and in a timely manner and provide clinical direction to support staff (LPNs, Medical Assistants).
  • Miscellaneous: Respond to emergencies as needed, check code cart weekly, stock supplies as needed, and complete competency skill checklist within the first three months.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum education: Associate Degree; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • NY State RN License.
  • BLS Certified; ACLS preferred.
  • IV certification preferred.
  • Completes competency skill checklist within the first three months.
  • Vascular/surgical experience highly preferred.
  • EMR experience is a strong plus.
Pay Range

$50/hr to $55/hr

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors, including but not limited to, years of experience and location of position.
