Position Summary: The Patient Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all patients are accurately and efficiently registered for medical services. This position involves gathering and processing essential registration, billing, and related information from patients across various departments including Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology, and the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure a smooth registration process.
- Engage with patients and their families to review the registration process and flow, fostering a positive initial experience with the healthcare facility.
- Utilize Epic Insurance Systems for comprehensive insurance verification and point of service collection processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Siemens Invision Registration system, HDX Eligibility Verification Module, and Huron Ontrac Revenue Cycle Solutions Systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a related role is required. Successful completion of a sponsored training or internship program may also be considered in lieu of experience.
Work Schedule: Day shift from 7 AM to 4 PM.
