Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Correctional Setting

Summary:

Adeliphi Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide vital mental health services within a correctional facility. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals navigating challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including assessments of criminal history, psychological well-being, and substance abuse patterns.
  • Perform thorough suicide risk evaluations with meticulous documentation.
  • Deliver individual therapy sessions and clinical interviews to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical professionals and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Prepare detailed clinical reports, treatment plans, and participate in complex case consultations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and actively engage in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Monitor patient progress closely and adhere to strict ethical standards.
  • Conduct mental status exams and provide health education to patients.
  • Assist patients with accessing entitlements and facilitate smooth transitions between care settings.
  • Coordinate community support resources and ensure patient releases are handled effectively.
  • Generate written reports, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and uphold safety protocols within the facility.
  • Participate in various committees and adhere to all reporting requirements.
  • Remain available for emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid and active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
  • Minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience providing similar services within the past three years.
  • Possession of all required certificates relevant to specialized areas of practice.
  • Current BLS certification from an American Heart Association provider.
