Role Summary
As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for the thorough inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane machinery, including mobile cranes such as All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, and Boom Trucks. Candidates should possess mechanical expertise, particularly in electrical and hydraulic systems, preferably within the heavy equipment and crane sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect components for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring tools.
- Conduct tests on mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems post-repair to ensure compliance with OEM standards.
- Prepare for assignments by verifying parts and schematics for accuracy.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards.
- Accurately complete work reports, time sheets, and expense documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mobile and Crawler Crane Technician.
- Familiarity with CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, and LICCON systems is advantageous.
- Experience with various mobile crane models, including Grove RT and TMS Cranes, Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, and Tadano.
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, parts lists, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and fit-for-duty assessment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Travel may be required.
- Field service experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role involves physical activities such as lifting, carrying, reaching, and climbing. The ability to lift up to 70 lbs is necessary, along with safe forklift operation skills. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical assessment and maintain a clean driving record.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels is expected. The position requires working outdoors in varying climates and the potential for extended periods of sitting.
Physical Requirements:
