Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Search Solutions

We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Amazon Search team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying innovative search solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Act as the technical leader in Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and drive full life-cycle Machine Learning projects.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Lead technical efforts within this team and collaborate with other science teams to advance search technology.
- Model Development and Deployment: Build machine learning models, perform proof-of-concept, experiment, optimize, and deploy your models into production.
- Experimentation and Analysis: Run A/B experiments, gather data, and perform statistical tests to inform business decisions.
- Process Optimization: Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data mining, machine-learning model development, model validation, and serving.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior scientists, software engineers, and product managers to assist in productizing your ML models.
- Research and Innovation: Establish new research initiatives to shape our long-term science vision and act as a mentor to other Scientists on the team.
- Education and Experience: 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience, PhD, or Master's degree, and 6+ years of applied research experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages, and experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
- Modeling Tools: Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy, etc.
- Distributed Systems: Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
