Job Summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in a travel position. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures, operating medical equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, including preparing patients, operating medical equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate medical equipment, including fluoroscopy machines, ultrasound machines, and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Current certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement.
  • State license to practice as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Experience with Cerner and Phillips and Siemens angio equipment.
