Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Keene, NH

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive, person-centered behavioral health care to patients presenting in the emergency department and inpatient consults as needed.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role, reporting directly to our Chief of Psychiatry. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality care to our patients.

  • Provide comprehensive, person-centered behavioral health care to patients presenting in the emergency department and inpatient consults as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with complex behavioral health needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric nursing
  • Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health
  • At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to work with both adult and adolescent populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of New Hampshire
  • Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in New Hampshire
  • Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PDMP) in New Hampshire
