About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Assessor to join our team at NewVista Healthcare. As a key member of our intake team, you will be responsible for facilitating the evaluation and admission process for patients in need of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations and assessments to determine the level of care required for patients
  • Collaborate with on-call physicians to ensure seamless admission processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and visitors
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and admission processes
Requirements
  • Degree in social work or counseling required
  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred
  • Current unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license required
  • CPR and Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 30 days
