Aircraft Interior Mechanic Job Summary

HQ Aero Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Aircraft Interior Mechanic to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Remove, disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, modify, refurbish, and install aircraft interior components, including seats, carpets, interior paneling, windows, galley, lavatory modules, insulation, and soundproofing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with customer expectations and design methods, adhering to general work rules and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform tasks in a productive, diligent, careful, and safe manner.
  • Review and understand necessary documentation, including drawings, work scope, and task cards/snags.
  • Fill out timecards daily, ensuring snag/task card information is correct.
  • Complete task cards within 24 hours, unless drawing/specification is not available.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Aircraft Interior experience required.
  • Experience on Boeing 737, 767, and Airbus aircraft is preferred.
  • Written skills test will be administered on the first day.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Standard Tool Kit required.
  • Criminal Background Check and compliance with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Familiarity with aircraft passenger support systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and technical instructions.
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and with care and precision.
  • Ability to understand and follow direction with general supervision.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Any other job-related duties assigned with the highest level of ethics, integrity, safety, and honesty.
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, apply finger and hand dexterity in using hand tools, and move around the shop/hangar area and within aircraft continuously throughout the workday.
