The Monarch Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Night Auditor. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's night audit process.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist guests with hotel reservations, registration, and billing
- Manage cash drawer accurately and efficiently, maintaining a balanced cash drawer using company policy
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and accurately to guest inquiries and requests
- Maximize company revenue by securing reservations and sales using hotel strategies
- Manage time effectively, meeting productivity standards with minimal supervision
- Perform financial data entry and record-keeping duties, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist in closing and reopening hotel areas as scheduled
- Prepare reports and paperwork for management
- Support team members with overnight laundry and inventory tasks
- Ensure guest problems are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Assist with package and luggage storage and delivery
- Analyze and organize guest reservations for current and future arrivals
- Respond to hotel phones promptly and professionally, routing calls internally and externally
- Make coffee for guests as needed
- Stock and replenish inventory in the lobby grab-and-go area
- Complete daily checklists and organize paperwork
- Check-in guests securely, adhering to confidentiality and identification policies
- Understand and operate the property management system
- Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and directions
- Assist with hotel events to ensure guest satisfaction
- Be proficient in property security, key control, and safety procedures
- Complete all necessary paperwork for front desk operations
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the front office and lobby areas
- Communicate effectively with other departments
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in software and computer applications, including hotel operating systems and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Accurate cash and card handling skills
- Professionalism and adaptability
- Dependability and initiative
- Quality-focused and safety-conscious
The Night Auditor must be able to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods, as well as lift boxes or equipment weighing up to 25-30 pounds and 50 pounds or more with assistance.
