Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum functional potential through the use of recreational activities and therapies.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' rehabilitation and functional needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver patient-focused treatments to achieve maximum functional improvement.
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan by documenting evaluations, setting and revising goals, and evaluating and documenting progress.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients and families/significant others to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Support the patient care team and contribute to the delivery of patient-focused care.
- Baccalaureate degree in Recreational Therapy required.
- Satisfactory completion of annual mandatory education requirements.
- Must have 9 to 12 months clinical experience in acute or long-term care setting.
- National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS) required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
