The Maintenance Repairer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment within the facility. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and provide both mechanical and electrical support during designated shifts.
  • Install, test, and repair various types of plant equipment and machinery to ensure seamless operations.
  • Execute preventive maintenance routines and safety assessments on all equipment and machinery.
  • Perform electrical inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment and plant power systems, including PLCs, I/O systems, and motors.
  • Engage in basic mechanical tasks such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, and pipefitting, as well as maintaining buildings and grounds.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and effectively communicate activities to relevant personnel.
  • Stay informed about advancements in equipment and updates to existing machinery through manuals and technical literature.
  • Provide emergency repair services as needed across all areas of the facility.
  • Utilize fabrication shop equipment, including drill presses, hydraulic presses, and milling machines, to support maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Work in diverse environments, including those with exposure to dust and varying weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs and performing tasks from elevated platforms and ladders.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is required, with certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Possession of a Mechanical Certificate and Electrical Certificate is preferred.
  • Work authorization is required.
  • Experience with Autonomous Maintenance and Progressive Maintenance systems is preferred.
