We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse - Post Partum (PP) Specialist to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Post Partum (PP) Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, with a focus on postpartum care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to postpartum patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Current CA RN license
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in postpartum care
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
- Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of postpartum experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
- Demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws
- Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin)
- Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing
- Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
- Demonstrated knowledge of IStat
- Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring
- Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborn
- Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiant warmers
- Demonstrated knowledge to support gyn teaching & post-operative bladder training
- Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching
