Meat Cutter

Weis Markets is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality meat products.

• Meat Department Operations: Follow established procedures for receiving and unloading incoming shipments, pricing products, and stocking cases to ensure quality, protection, accuracy, and proper rotation of products.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements as set forth by the company and mandated by state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Customer Service: Greet and take orders from customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Meat Preparation: Cut, tray, and package all required meat and seafood products for the day, maintaining proper safety practices and care while using cutting accessories.
• Inventory Management: Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including back stock and ensuring tags match products.
• Team Collaboration: May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed, demonstrating a willingness to support the team and contribute to the success of the store.

• Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED), plus (2) years' experience in a retail environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without an accommodation, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
