Role Overview:
As a Team Member Trainer, you will play a vital role in enhancing our expanding supply chain operations by delivering an outstanding onboarding experience for new hires. You will promote a culture of learning, development, and teamwork within the Distribution Center. Collaborating closely with your manager and the Training Operations Manager (TOM), you will gain a thorough understanding of the training program's content and strategy to ensure consistent and effective training for both new and existing team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with TOM and Training Specialists (TS) to develop training plans for new employees.
- Facilitate training sessions for Warehouse Workers (WW) and Warehouse Associates (WA), covering new hire orientation, core competencies, specialty training, and recertification.
- Deliver standardized training with a focus on safety as the top priority.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members to foster an inclusive environment.
- Support the onboarding process and retention efforts for new hires and peers.
- Monitor and assess progress to ensure proficiency in job functions.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to training and demonstrating job functions for WW or WA roles. You may also be assigned to productive tasks to meet business needs while maintaining your skills in these functions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate all power equipment and warehouse technology safely.
- Capable of lifting and carrying merchandise weighing up to 47 lbs. regularly, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Frequent movement within the Distribution Center, potentially for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
- Ability to work in various temperature-controlled environments, including those below freezing.
- Access to all areas of the Distribution Center, including conveyor crossovers and mezzanine platforms.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in distribution or training, with a preference for employee training experience.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to comprehend verbal, written, and visual communications effectively.
- Proficient in basic math skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Able to adapt to changing priorities with minimal notice.
- Willingness to adjust work schedule to provide support across multiple shifts as needed.
- Effective communication skills to convey messages clearly and ensure understanding.
