Korn Ferry is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Professional to join their team.

Job Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional will report to the Sr. Manager of FP&A and play a crucial role in improving financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Variance Analysis: Conducts variance analysis to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assists in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconciliations: Completes reconciliations as needed.
  • Customer Profitability: Monitors and tracks customer profitability.
  • Commercial Forecasting: Supports the continued development of a comprehensive commercial forecast with the sales and S&OP teams.
  • Plant and Departmental Reporting: Supports the development of plant and departmental reporting.
  • Cost Standards: Develops and maintains cost standards for products.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyzes cost of material and labor to determine opportunities and methods for reduction of production and inventory costs.
  • Inventory Transactions: Analyzes and reconciles inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting, including calculating for inventory reserve.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
  • Process Improvement: Assists in the review of process improvement changes and the development of streamlined reports with ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting function, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills; strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Judgement: Knowledge or experience in using sound judgement within broadly defined practices and policies.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Computer Operation: Able to operate computer and related peripherals.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for 80-90% of the workday.
  • Lifting: Able to lift and or carry items up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing: Able to hear and execute clear speech in person and over the telephone.
  • Ambient Noise: Able to hear telephones ring, alarms sound, etc. through ambient noise and everyday conversation.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related and 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, finance, or a related field.
