About the Role
The Charge Nurse is a critical member of our surgical team, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of surgery in the surgical suite. Key responsibilities include:
- Delegating assignments and supervising support staff
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to provide patient care
- Leading and mentoring other team members
- Coordinating and delegating care in a safe and secure environment
- Demonstrating respect for patient rights and dignity
- Practicing evidence-based care and utilizing information technologies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Associate degree in nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Specialized life support requirements designated by work area
Work Environment
