Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembly technician to join our team in Hillsboro, Oregon. This is a contract position that offers a flexible work environment and opportunities to choose preferred shifts.

About the Job

This role involves assembling mechanical components and systems in a cleanroom environment, particularly vacuum and pump systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex assemblies, cleanroom PPE, and working with chemicals in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems in a cleanroom environment.
  • Assemble vacuum and pump systems.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble products.
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Conduct assembly leak checks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with cleanroom standards.
  • Document assembly processes and results accurately.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve any assembly issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and cleanroom guidelines at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with vacuum and/or pump assembly.
  • Ability to conduct leak checks.
  • Familiarity with using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with inspection and testing of assemblies.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom standards and procedures.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
