About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Distributor Operator to join our team at APAC-Atlantic, a leading provider of high-quality hot mix and warm mix asphalt. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating asphalt distributor trucks and applying liquid asphalt to designated areas with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate asphalt distributor trucks and set spray bars on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors
  • Perform manual labor as needed, such as shoveling or raking, under extreme temperatures and for extended hours of time
  • Follow verbal instructions from crew foremen to assist in other positions if needed
  • Apply liquid asphalt to designated areas with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship
  • Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion
  • Follow traffic control instructions and practice safety standards per company policy
  • May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Commercial Drivers License required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
