Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing leadership and oversight to our occupational therapy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the occupational therapy team, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based practice and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of the occupational therapy department.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care and services.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and services.
  • Provide education and training to occupational therapy staff on best practices and new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based agencies and institutions to promote occupational therapy services and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a clinical leadership role, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Current licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan.
  • Initial certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
