We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at TravelCenters of America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results to develop a repair plan
- Communicate with the Service Advisor to ensure accurate and efficient service
- Repair malfunctioning parts and equipment, completing repairs safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Recommend additional services to customers during the inspection process
- Ensure the safety of both customers and employees
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an acceptable trade school or manufacturer's technical school, or previous mechanic experience
- Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Meet the physical demands of the job with or without accommodation
