The Security, Risk, and Compliance division at PSE is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Security Systems Technician.

Job Overview

PSE is in search of a knowledgeable security service and maintenance technician responsible for the upkeep of existing physical and electronic security systems. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external clients to ensure that systems are promptly restored to operational status following any failure notifications. The technician will implement and oversee a regular preventative maintenance program for current and future physical security systems, adhering to manufacturer guidelines to guarantee reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all security systems at PSE, focusing on access control system infrastructure, Digital Video Recording systems, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Coordinate service with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational status of security systems.
  • Install, replace, program, and troubleshoot dnaFusion access control systems, Salient CCTV, and NAPCO security systems.
  • Utilize spreadsheets or project management software to monitor preventative maintenance schedules and workflows.
  • Conduct comprehensive system tests to verify that all systems are repaired and functioning according to manufacturer and PSE specifications.
  • Develop and maintain thorough system maintenance documentation for each site and device involved in the preventative maintenance program.
  • Create or update documentation for access control and intrusion systems, including operational details, wiring diagrams, programming information, Emergency Action Plans, fire evacuation plans, key plans, and CCTV system information following any modifications.
  • Research, recommend, and implement cutting-edge technology solutions as existing systems evolve.
  • Provide limited training to employees and offer guidance to other PSE departments and management to ensure understanding of their security systems.
  • Deliver monthly reports on maintenance program progress and repair statistics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in security systems installation and/or maintenance.
  • Proficient understanding of company standards and construction techniques.
  • Experience in designing or constructing security systems; ability to read blueprints; familiarity with Microsoft Office products; experience in low voltage security applications, installations, and relevant codes; working knowledge of LAN systems and computer programming.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, work with basic power and hand tools, and operate on ladders or lifts up to 40 feet high.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electronics; 02 (low voltage) license.
  • Specific experience with dnaFusion access control systems, NAPCO, and Salient CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with the utility industry and its operations.

The pay range for this position is $67,800.00 - $96,400.00, and this role is eligible for annual performance-based incentive bonuses.
