Materials Handler

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at 48forty Solutions and Relogistics Services.

The estimated hourly pay for this role is $18.00 - $19.00, dependent on experience and location in Chambersburg, PA 17201.

• Movement Optimization: Make informed decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize efficiency in the warehouse environment.
• Lifting and Loading: Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets and transport loads to designated areas.
• Operating Forklifts: Drive trucks and control the movement of lifting apparatus with precision and care.
• Unloading and Stacking: Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Safety Precautions: Adhere to company safety procedures at all times when operating forklifts.

• Forklift Certification: Preferably certified but not required.
• Safety Consciousness: Ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Record Keeping: Follow instructions for keeping accurate records.
• Overtime Commitment: Understand that overtime may be required and is considered mandatory.
• Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules.

• Extreme Conditions: Work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate.
• Physical Demands: Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Forklift Operation: Sit for long periods while operating forklifts.
• Noise Level: Noise levels vary depending on location.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes.
• Vision Requirements: Close vision, distance vision, and color vision required for the job.
