Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical / Pediatric Unit at Mercy Hospital Ardmore. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, including Med/Surg and Pediatric patients.

Unit Overview

The Medical / Pediatric Unit is a 32-bed unit that offers a wide range of skills and experiences. Our patient population includes patients with CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, and Covid, as well as Pediatric patients with RSV, UTI, oral surgeries, and appendectomies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and Pediatric patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
