The Physician Recruitment Specialist will play a crucial role in the evaluation, interviewing, and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers for our Community Health Partners division. This division, associated with Ohio State University Physicians, is responsible for staffing community-based emergency departments, urgent care facilities, and inpatient hospitalist services across Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the complete recruitment cycle, which encompasses job postings, phone screenings, resume evaluations, coordinating interviews, and managing offer letters.
  • Leverage job boards and digital/social media platforms for recruitment outreach.
  • Develop and maintain networks through industry associations, contacts, and current employees to identify qualified candidates and broaden our talent pool.
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System to manage data entry related to recruitment activities, job postings, and hiring processes.
  • Track recruitment metrics for open and filled positions.
  • Propose enhancements to improve data quality and process efficiencies in recruiting, selection, orientation, and talent retention.
  • Advise the Community Health Partners Administration team on interview processes and candidate selection, offering solutions to recruitment challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Administration team during the offer process regarding salary ranges, incentives, start dates, orientation, and other pertinent details.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with the Administration team to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, sourcing techniques, time-to-fill metrics, and quality of hires.
  • Maintain connections with candidates and the community through networking, job boards, vocational institutions, and career fairs.
  • Provide ongoing recruitment updates and feedback to the Administration team.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Exhibit professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail, and cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in job-related software and systems.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in recruiting for Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist positions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of general HR principles and employment law.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate sensitive and confidential situations, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications, including word processing and spreadsheet tools (MS Word, Excel).
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with digital and social media recruitment strategies.
