Job Title: CT Technologist

Location: Coos Bay, OR

Shift Type: Varied

Hours: 8 hours per day, 80 hours per two-week pay period

Hourly Pay Rate: $57.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing a variety of CT scans for patients of all ages. Utilizing principles and techniques of computed tomography (CT) scanning, the CT Tech ensures reliable scan results while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scans for patients across all age groups, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Apply principles, theories, and techniques of computed tomography scanning to produce accurate and high-quality images.
  • Operate applicable equipment and software for CT scanning, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams and interact professionally with the public, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Assist with on-call duties and weekend rotation, as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to meeting the needs of the department.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient with personal computers and relevant software programs, including CT scanning equipment and imaging software.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate office and CT equipment effectively, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Maintains confidentiality and works independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program in Radiology (Required).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in CT or must obtain within 6 months (Required).
  • ARRT and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licenses (Required).
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification (Required).
  • Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certificates required within 30 days of hire, renewed annually (Required).
Experience:
  • One (1) year of CT experience preferred.
Certification Requirements:
  • ARRT (Required).
  • BLS (Required).
  • OBMI License (Required).
