Executive Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team at the Food + Farm Exploration Center. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for furthering our mission to promote agricultural literacy and foster a deeper appreciation for the origins of food and the people who grow it.

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan that aligns with our board's strategic vision, ensuring the long-term success and growth of the organization.
• Operations: Oversee all aspects of center operations, including financial management, marketing, and communications, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of programs and services.
• Staff Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of department directors and staff, fostering a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and collaboration.
• Board Development: Partner with our Board of Directors to build alignment, maintain role clarity, and ensure effective governance and decision-making.
• Donor Development: Collaborate with the fundraising committee and donor development team to create and implement strategies for securing philanthropic support and building long-term partnerships.
• Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, industry partners, and educational institutions, to promote the center's mission and programs.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in community-based and community-led approaches to program development, strategic planning, and evaluation.
• Experience building and conducting outreach for educational programming, with a focus on agricultural literacy and community engagement.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit governance, operations, and fundraising principles.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and drive results-oriented initiatives.
