**Job Summary**
As a key member of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation team, the Admissions Clerk will be responsible for performing registration, admission, and scheduling functions for all inpatient and outpatient services provided by the organization. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.
**Responsibilities**
- Collect, update, and input patient demographics, history, and insurance information into the appropriate computer repository.
- Maintain or establish patient eligibility and primary provider on all patient encounters.
- Ensure appointment times are timely and communicate with clinics regarding patient appointment and registration status.
**Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy required.
- One year of office experience.
- One year in a customer service position.
- One year of experience with IBM or compatible computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Type 40 words per minute and have 10-key experience.
- Experience working with Medicaid or commercial insurance is preferred.
- Ability to work continuously for a minimum of one year.
