KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Offers additional support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Monitors student behavior in various settings including classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during excursions.
  • Provides individualized tutoring and assistance to students in small groups to reinforce educational concepts introduced by teachers.
  • Implements and upholds school policies and regulations regarding student conduct.
  • Collaborates with classroom educators to align instructional strategies and objectives.
  • Guides and oversees students in the proper use and maintenance of educational tools and materials to ensure safety and prevent damage.
  • Delivers subject content to students under the supervision of teachers, utilizing methods such as discussions, lectures, or guided role-playing.

  • Organizes and leads recreational activities to foster physical, social, and emotional growth.
  • Participates in staff meetings and contributes to committees as needed.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The ability to effectively communicate, listen, and comprehend information presented verbally and in writing is crucial. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The role requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Candidates must be capable of reaching, grasping, feeling, and seeing both close up and at a distance. Proficiency in using basic office technology and equipment is necessary, with or without reasonable accommodation. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. The position may involve light physical effort, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling light objects (up to 15 pounds).
