Reliable Automotive Technician Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team at United Parcel Service Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
- Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
- Operate power and pneumatic tools.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Active driver's license issued by the state.
- Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need.
- State light/heavy duty inspection license or willingness to obtain.
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.
- Class A/B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - preferred or willingness to obtain during probationary period.
The Automotive Technician will work in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather, etc.
Benefits:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $30.71 per hour. Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined-benefit pension plan, medical-dental and vision after waiting and or probation period, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time as required by law, paid holidays, discounted employee stock purchase program.
