About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Nuclear Programs and Consulting group in Oak Ridge, TN. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring client goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for nuclear operations and engineering projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from concept to completion
  • Utilize industry-specific software, such as REVIT, Carrier HAP, and AutoCAD, to design and analyze mechanical systems
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Work in a team environment to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience with HVAC systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Sole USA Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license
  • NQA-1 experience
  • Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a 'Q'
  • Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce a consolidated design
  • Previous DOE Nuclear project experience
  • Current or former US security clearance
  • Master's in engineering
Work Environment

Standard office PC with software provided

Building Information Management design software

On-site security training required before performing project duties

Timely response to resolve issues expected

Travel required as needed
