Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Bobcat of Atlanta. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment.
  • Identify problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and execute effective solutions.
  • Participate in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs.
  • Perform other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and/or management of the company.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-year technical school graduate preferred.
  • 1-year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop is required; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
  • Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs.
  • Heavy equipment and/or agricultural experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 10-20 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull, and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
  • Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
