Fern Park Developmental Center is an intermediate care facility providing 24/7 care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our state-of-the-art facilities accommodate up to 16 residents in four homes.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on location and experience.
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate RN Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to established protocols. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care, including assessments, evaluations, and treatments
- Managing LPN staff - performing evaluations and overall supervision
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring residents and documenting observations in medical records
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individual care plans
- Educating residents and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current FL RN license
- A Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred; BSN required
- A minimum of 6 years of nursing experience
- A minimum of 3 years working with developmentally disabled individuals
- Valid FL Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- The ability to pass a Level II background check, including a drug & TB screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
