Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide treatment to patients utilizing advanced medical diagnostic skills.
- Collaborate with case management to facilitate effective discharge planning.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and quality of care.
- Accept referrals from fellow physicians and serve as the primary, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
- Engage in academic activities, including medical education and research, as needed.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation that aligns with insurance requirements and manage appeals for any denials.
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call duties.
Licensure/Certification:
Must possess a valid Physician MD/DO credential from the Maryland Board of Physicians prior to the start date. Verification by the local Credentialing Office is required.
Preferred Credentials:
Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is desirable.
Educational Background:
A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree is mandatory.
