**Job Summary**: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team at Magic Carpet Academy. As a key member of our education staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, ensuring the highest quality care and education for children ages 0-5.

**About Us**: Magic Carpet Academy is a child care center located in Wilson, NC, offering early childhood education services using the Experience Early Learning Curriculum. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment that fosters cultural integration and develops globally competitive individuals.

**Role Responsibilities**:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in children.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular progress updates, conferences, and parent-teacher interactions.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy classroom environment by adhering to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, providing guidance on planned activities, safety protocols, and best practices.

**Requirements**: To be successful in this role, you will need

  • An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a minimum of 12 credits in ECE/CD.
  • A minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience in a licensed facility.
  • Cleared DHHS Criminal Background Check, clear medical report, and negative TB screening.
  • Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
  • Excellent supervision skills, high energy, strong understanding of child development, warm personality, and ability to work well with others.
