Position Overview:

The Senior SEO Analyst is integral to implementing The Home Depot's organic marketing initiatives. This role focuses on overseeing projects and collaborating with various teams to execute daily SEO strategies that enhance organic search visibility. The individual will provide technical insights, reporting, and recommendations to assist teams in identifying optimization opportunities, enabling data-driven decisions that boost traffic and conversion rates. A key aspect of this position is to pinpoint underperforming areas and discover opportunities to enhance overall program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing site audits and suggest scalable on-page optimizations aligned with business goals for both existing features and new opportunities.
  • Advise on SEO best practices in accordance with current technical standards and systems.
  • Research and develop comprehensive solutions to enhance organic performance, including daily monitoring of assigned SEO metrics and delivering periodic reports.
  • Promote SEO awareness across various departments and corporate levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Product Management, IT, and Earned Media, to conceptualize and implement SEO strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the Earned Media team, managing and executing daily SEO strategies to drive online traffic and sales.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external partners.

Performance Measurement:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of managed areas against target metrics and make necessary adjustments.
  • Create and present strategic plans based on data-driven insights.
  • Oversee significant portions of project life-cycles from initial assessments through to launch, including ongoing measurement and reporting.
  • Educate the organization on the evolving landscape of search engines, including best practices and industry standards.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Minimal overnight travel may be required.
  • Most work is performed in a comfortable indoor environment with occasional opportunities for movement.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in search engine marketing, encompassing on-page, off-page, social, and local SEO strategies.
  • Proficient in using SEO and business-related tools such as Omniture, Google Webmaster tools, and keyword research tools.
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and project management experience related to interactive marketing or web projects.
  • Strong adherence to SEO white hat tactics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing both paid and organic search initiatives.
  • Background in marketing/web roles with a national retailer.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and prior analytics experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of technical marketing channels.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A genuine passion for SEO and internet marketing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging SEO trends.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
