Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our team at Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative metal sealing products, providing technical assistance to customers, and collaborating with sales, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee new product development from material determination to manufacturability trials and in the development of new products and their transition to routine production.
  • Research and recommend changes to manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and/or reduce costs, increase product quality, or provide greater personal and/or environmental safety.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing to address production problems and technical assistance to customers through phone interaction or direct visits.
  • Manage files and drawings inventory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science.
  • 2+ years' experience working in an Engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written, verbal, and technical writing.
  • Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead technicians(s) and manage multiple projects as well as customer interaction.
  • Solidworks or similar software.
