We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Associate to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our insurance defense team, you will be responsible for handling a wide variety of insurance defense cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and manage a range of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
- Work on slip and fall, commercial auto accident cases, and other related matters.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance defense laws and regulations.
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance claims and related matters.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a member in good standing of the Texas Bar.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in insurance defense.
- Proven experience in legal research, civil litigation, drafting legal documents, and handling slip and fall and commercial auto accident cases.
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work within tight deadlines.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
