Job Title: Travel Mammography Technologist

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for a travel job in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Job Summary:

As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with the radiology team to provide excellent patient care and contribute to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammographic procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to department protocols and guidelines.
  • Review patient records and histories to ensure all necessary information is available for radiologist interpretation.
  • Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
  • Process images using the PAC system, ensuring timely and accurate completion of cases.
  • Monitor and resolve exceptions lists daily, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Properly utilize the Breast reporting system (PenRad), EMR, and PACS systems to ensure seamless communication and data management.
  • Collaborate with the ultrasound team to ensure a smooth and comprehensive flow of patients through both modalities.
  • Perform bone density scans accurately, understanding terminology and results.
  • Accurately review interventional cases and work knowledge of interventional procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies, as trained.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned, maintaining a flexible and adaptable attitude.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography.
  • Ability to perform screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • ARRT (R) and (M) certification, active state mammography license, and BLS certification.
  • Meet all ECE requirements to maintain mammography certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform DEXA and biopsy procedures.
