Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our team at UMC Health System. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for installing and repairing locks and doors, as well as performing fire and safety inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain master key systems and record systems for issued keys.
- Maintain requisitions of new purchases and inventory of supplies and equipment, including key blanks, lock parts, knobs, and cylinders.
- Install and/or repair new or defective door cylinders.
- Rekey locks, repair door closures/hinges, and all related door hardware.
- Perform inspections of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, smoke doors, and alarms.
- Perform monthly preventive maintenance on all exterior doors, locking devices, and inspections of key pad codes.
- Perform preventive security changes of key-pad codes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pick locks and make keys from impressions.
- Organized and able to create and maintain an inventory system.
